Welcome to the Rockrimmon Branch
At the Rockrimmon branch, we encourage all our students to learn discipline, diligence, and respect. We offer both family and adult advanced courses. WE'RE MORE THAN MARTIAL ARTS; WE'RE FAMILY!“The class is well-structured but still a lot of fun for the kids. Not only do they get lots of exercise and learn karate skills but they also discuss important life skills, character lessons and how to stay safe if approached by a stranger. Tylor-Anne and Adam both have a gift for working with children and we have been very happy with this class.” -Eileen Broderick, Kempo Parent Since September 2013
“Training in Universal Kempo-Karate has been a very rewarding experience for our whole family. It builds confidence, Self-discipline, and physical fitness, but most of all is just fun. I would highly recommend Universal Kempo to anyone of any age.” -Tony Schene (Kempo Student & Peregrine Resident)
Meet the Instructors
Head Instructor Tylor-Anne Gardino
A native of Colorado Springs, Head Instructor Tylor-Anne Owen, 2nd Degree Black Belt, has been training in the martial arts for over a decade.
As a student of Assistant Professor Joe Gardino and Senior Chief Instructor Marty Gardino, she grew to love learning and teaching martial arts. After years of hard work, she was finally given the honor of testing for black belt in Las Vegas in 2009, for 1st Degree in 2010, and for 2nd Degree in 2012. Dreaming for years of running her own karate school, she was given the fantastic opportunity to become head instructor of the Rockrimmon Branch of Universal Kempo Karate Schools Association. She has a true passion for her students and for the martial arts.
